Pochop Farm & Ranch is located in Northwest Kansas west of Atwood KS 14 miles and 1 mile north. It is owned and operated by Gerard Pochop and Lincoln Pochop. We first got started in the registered Angus program with buying our first cow pairs in 2010. We have a fall set of cows and a spring set also. These pairs came from Spruce Mountain Ranch in Larksburgh, CO, Triple B Angus in North Platte, NE, Riverbend Ranch in Idaho Falls, ID, and Black Rose Angus in Culbertson, NE. Since then we have kept back most of the heifers and also started A.I.ing heifers and a few of the cows. We start our fall calving in the beginning of September and the spring calving in Mid-March beginning of April. We breed for easy calving bulls that are easier keeps. As in this part of the county we have been a drought for several years and we believe these animals should work for you. We want these bulls be high performers at low input costs. As we also breed for higher marbling and bigger rib eye EPD’s for most of our customers sell calves to feedlots for meet marketing use. Also, one of the top things we breed for is docility. The calmer they are the less stress they put on themselves and the owner of the bull.
